Geographically, it is one of the 36 states of the federal republic of Nigeria, which is located in the middle belt and the only state bordered by ten states. It borders Nasarawa state to the north east, Benue to the east, Enugu state to the southeast, Anambra state to the south, Ondo, Kwara and Ekiti state to the West and Niger state to the north. The state composes of languages such as Igala, Ebira, Okun, Bassa nge, Nupe, Idoma and Ogori magongo but Igala, Ebira and Okun are the populous language.
